Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was named the most moved-to city in 2024 by a recent report from PODS.
The analysis also found that Wilmington, North Carolina, shared the top spot as the most popular destination for movers.
The trend of Americans moving to Southern states, particularly in the Appalachian region, continues to grow, with factors like low cost of living and quality of life contributing to the appeal.

BUCKHEAD, GEORGIA: ONE OF THE NATION'S WEALTHIEST ZIP CODES

Buckhead is known as Atlanta's commercial and residential district, famed for its high-rise buildings and shopping centers, hotels and mansions.

The neighborhood is a historically wealthy district and was once ranked the ninth richest zip code in the country with a median price of homes of $1,460,595, according to Forbes.

Bloomberg named Buckhead the 20th richest zip code in the nation in 2011, when the average household net worth there was $1,353,189.

The average household income was $280,631.

Because of this, Buckhead is often called the 'Beverly Hills of the Southeast,' in reference to the upscale city in California.

Buckhead is also known to have a few notable residents, including Georgia Republican Kelly Loeffler.

Loeffler was among the wealthiest members of Congress until she lost her seat in January of 2021. In 2009, she and her husband spent more than $10million on a European-style mansion named Descante in the Buckhead neighborhood.

Buckhead is known for its upscale malls and the independent art galleries that cluster around Miami Circle and Bennett Street. Chicly dressed locals frequent the trendy restaurants along Peachtree Road and Roswell Road, while twenty-somethings hang out at lively bars and clubs. Regional history is on display at the Greek Revival-style Governor’s Mansion and at the Atlanta History Center.

About Midtown:
Midtown is a busy commercial area and a vibrant arts hub. The High Museum of Art shows world-renowned works in a striking modern building, while Margaret Mitchell House offers tours of the former home of the “Gone With the Wind” author. Peachtree Street is a hotspot for comedy, bars and big-name shops, with eating options ranging from street food to fine dining. Large, leafy Piedmont Park offers walking trails.
